Quality Assurance Manager – Lead, Inspire, and Elevate Standards

Qualifications
  • 10 years or more heavy Fabrication, commercial and or industrial construction experience
  • Must have direct industry knowledge and know how to speak the language
  • Must have strong understanding of millwright, pipe fitting, steel fabrication, and welding technology
  • Prefer Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Construction Engineering
  • Must be able to read, understand and follow blueprints and drawings
  • Must be computer literate with excellent Microsoft Word and Excel skills
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication, problem solving, managerial, mathematical, and analytical skills
  • Must be able to read, write and be able to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Employee must be able to work independently and be able to exercise independent judgment within defined parameters
Job Summary
 
  • Develops expectations for program compliance, trains personnel, resolves issues associated with implementation for company management, with an emphasis on practical application of codes to achieve cost effective compliance with design and customer requirements.
  • Advance’s strategies to integrate, manage and maintain quality and process operational controls for Fabrication, Field Services, Engineering and Procurement functions.
  • Mitigates risk by sponsoring a quality conscious work environment supported by core competencies and rigorous process controls.
Position Duties & Responsibilities
 
  1. Responsible for managing and coordinating fabrication and field service work control processes to cost effectively comply with various industry requirements.
  2. Oversees process implementation on projects from conceptual stage through planning, engineering, procurement, construction, and project closeout. Serves as the advocate for cost effective and efficient controls over quality, engineering, procurement, fabrication, and construction functions.
  3. Ensures that project specific quality requirements from the prime contract, internal requirements, and external requirements (e.g. regulatory bodies) are identified and appropriately assigned to a specific discipline or individual. Responsible for providing expertise on quality requirements, related regulatory policies, and industry standards.
  4. Maintain company’s reputation by upholding and energizing quality conscious culture, continually improving our quality communication processes, facilitates quality ownership and empowerment.
  5. Responsible to develop indoctrination training consistent with project requirements and corporate requirements.
  6. Responsible for maintaining all corporate Quality Assurance programs, licenses and certificates, meeting customer expectations as well as contractual and regulatory obligations.
  7. Responsible for establishing performance measures and championing the achievement of performance, resulting in prompt and effective corrective and preventive actions that continually advances performance towards zero errors.


Breakdown of Roles & Responsibilities:
 
  • Owner of all QA programs, certifications & licenses
  • Develops work control processes and procedures for shop and field
  • Provides training to personnel regarding quality performance & process control
  • Aids the disposition of NCRs & CARs - assures timely resolution
  • Audit support (internal / external) – facilitates in-process surveillances
  • Reviews POs & bid docs for QA risk
  • Develops and maintains quality performance measures
  • Provides oversight to all QA/QC personnel
  • Resource for technical and quality related issues

Salary range: Target salary range between 90,000 - 140,000 per annual. Final compensation will be determined based on the experience and qualifications of the selected candidate.
