Greenberry Industrial is seeking Estimators in Construction Job to join our growing teams in Corvallis, OR and Vancouver, WA.

GENERAL SUMMARY

Greenberry Industrial is actively recruiting for the role of Project Estimator. This role is responsible for producing comprehensive construction estimates across a broad spectrum of industrial projects, including but not limited to:

  • Excavation
  • Civil/Concrete
  • Structural (Fabrication/Installation)
  • Process Systems
    • Pipe (Fabrication/Installation)
    • Pumps/Motors
    • Other Rotational Equipment (Fans/Blowers)
    • Module Erection

 

PRIMARY DUTIES

  • Oversee estimating process including solicitation of bids from vendors and subcontractors; tracking, follow up and reporting on multiple estimates
  • Reviews project plans and specifications and coordinates with the team to confirm complete scope
  • Ensure the timely completion of estimates within tight deadlines and assigned budgets, including timely reviews with senior management
  • Prepares conceptual budgets based on minimal information
  • Reviews general conditions, schedule, scopes of work, hoisting plans, and site logistics
  • Ensures the flow of project information is maintained and documented
  • Reviews and/or manages the review and scoping of specialty contractor bids; analyze alternate means and methods to determine the most economic alternative
  • Builds effective relationships with customers, design team, specialty contractors, suppliers, and user groups that reflect and support company core values and meets or exceeds the customer's expectations
  • Must be comfortable selling projects and services as well as communicating with customers
  • Actively participates in industry, client and community relations to enhance company image
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY

This professional role operates within a well-defined framework, leveraging established procedures and company policies with general oversight. You'll exercise independent judgment within these guidelines, and your insights are valued as you're encouraged to contribute informally to long-range planning initiatives. The position demands expertise in handling intricate and diverse situations, where accuracy is paramount as errors could impact profitability. Strong communication and collaboration are essential, requiring frequent interaction with colleagues across departments, project supervisors, and project managers.

SPECIFIC SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

  • Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Capable with BIM Model Software (Solidworks, Navisworks, Compress, Strumis, etc..)
  • Tactful and has professional demeanor, and ability to interact effectively with managers, employees, vendors and others;
  • Excellent verbal and written technical communication skills. Strong organizational, record-keeping     and follow-up skills;
  • Demonstrated ability to be self-motivated, proactive and an effective team player.
  • Ability to understand and follow standard operating policies and procedures;
  • Ability to perform duties in a professional manner and appearance;
  • Must be willing to travel as required.
  • Knowledge of the craft jurisdiction required. 
  • Experience in the coordination of multiple activities and tasks in multiple disciplines required.
  • Supervisory skills desired
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or similar or equivalent technical training knowledge and experience desired:
  • Minimum of 5 years work experience in heavy industrial industry preferred
  • Flexible work hours may be considered 
  • Some extended hours, travel and overnight stays will be require
