Gulf Coast FAB - Jennings, LA - Full Time

Greenberry Industrial is currently hiring experienced Fabrication Ironworker Foreman and or Leaders for our Fabrication shop in Jennings, LA

Qualified candidates must have previous fabrication welding experience, FCAW welding required, and will be required to pass a weld test.

Responsibilities include:

  • Read and interpret drawings, blueprints and specifications to determine layout requirements and follow process procedures.
  • Familiar with Steel erection drawings and organization for Steel erection projects.
  • Follow and teach Greenberry Safety rules at all times
  • Have experience in leading 5 to 15 craftsmen in a shop or Field environment.
  • Having a good  Idea how to motivate workers and be the leader that can show his crew what and how to do things. Be involved !
  • Manage Material needed for work to be performed- Look ahead and set up as you go.
  • Planning daily activity's and and following up with crews for goal for the day and help workers with any issues they may have to keep production going.
  • Work with Shop Managers and Superintendent for over all planning and goals.
  • Be responsible for workers quality and help them with issue that may arrive.
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments using processes such as gas tungsten arc welding, gas metal arc welding, flux-cored arc welding, plasma arc welding, shielded metal arc welding, oxy-acetylene welding, resistance welding and submerged arc welding.
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment.
  • Regularly report to work, on time and prepared to perform all tasks as outlined in job description and / or assigned.
  • Perform duties in a safe, ethical and legal manner following the policies and procedures as established by Greenberry unless otherwise prohibited by law.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Must work well with others and be a positive influence to others.

Must have a strong work ethic, positive attitude, be safety conscientious, and able to read, write and speak English. E

Employees living in the southwest Louisiana or in the Golden Triangle Is a plus !!!
