Position Summary Greenberry Industrial is seeking experienced Structural Welders for projects in Oregon, with an immediate need by 02/02. Candidates must be capable of producing high-quality, code-compliant structural welds in industrial and construction settings. All applicants must successfully pass a hands-on weld test prior to hire. This role is ideal for safety-focused welders who take pride in precision, consistency, and working as part of a skilled team.
Key Responsibilities
Perform structural welding using SMAW (Stick) and/or FCAW per project requirements
Weld carbon steel structural components including beams, columns, plates, and frames
Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and fabrication drawings
Perform welding in multiple positions (flat, horizontal, vertical, overhead)
Ensure welds meet AWS and project-specific quality standards
Conduct visual inspections and assist with QA/QC documentation as required
Safely operate welding equipment and maintain tools in good working condition
Follow all safety procedures, including PPE, hot work permits, and site-specific rules
Work collaboratively with foremen, fitters, and other craft personnel
Required Qualifications
Journeyman-level experience as a Structural Welder
Proficiency with SMAW and/or FCAW welding processes
Experience welding structural steel in industrial or commercial environments
Ability to pass a Greenberry Industrial weld test
Ability to read blueprints and welding symbols
Strong knowledge of OSHA safety standards
Reliable attendance and ability to meet project schedules
Preferred Qualifications
Current or previous AWS structural welding certification
Experience working on industrial plants, mills, or heavy construction projects
Experience with fabrication and field welding
Familiarity with AWS D1.1 standards
